In her most recent interview, Adele covered more ground than just her contentious choice to postpone the start of a residency in Las Vegas. When the “Easy on Me” singer visited BBC Sounds’ Desert Island Discs, she also discussed her baby plans and her relationship with partner Rich Paul. She discussed her wish to expand her family with Lauren Laverne in order to give Angelo (9 years old) siblings.

“I definitely would like a couple more kids,” Adele told Laverne, via Entertainment Tonight. “It would be wonderful if we can.”If the two cannot agree, “I’ve got Angelo,” She added. “I just want to be happy.”

Becoming a mother changed Adele in “every single way.” The singer, who is 34 years old, stated, “Good, bad, strange. I love being a mom,” She agreed. Adele shared that it was easy to co-parent with Simon Konecki in recent years, as they are still good friends.

“Over my dead body is my kid having a messy divorce in his life,” She spoke. “There are no issues and there were no issues. It was easier to make sure that didn’t happen, but I was blessed with him, he’s just the best, and you know, I definitely approached it all with grace and I think that really paid off.”

Adele’s relationship with Paul, a successful sports agent, has completely altered her perspective. Since Adele started dating Paul last year, he has encouraged her to do the things that bring her joy.

“I think now that the relationship that I’m in, he’s like ‘If you want to go to that restaurant, you should go and try the food at that restaurant, and if you want to go to this birthday party, then you should be going. You can’t miss out on these things, what’s the worst that could happen?’” Adele said.

As per Page Six, a few days after Adele’s festival performance in London’s Hyde Park, the interview was released. After canceling her Las Vegas residency indefinitely in January, Adele gave her first public concert in five years. Adele shared the news just days before her debut concert, which saddened her fans. The singer explained the shift by blaming a COVID outbreak on her team.

Adele told Laverne on Sunday that she comprehends why people are upset but didn’t want her supporters to witness a mediocre performance. Adele was astounded by how the public reacted to the delay. “I was a shell of a person for a couple of months,” she told Laverne. “I just had to wait it out and just grieve it, I guess, just grieve the shows and get over the guilt, but it was brutal.” Adele confirmed that the Las Vegas dates will be rescheduled. “working on” the show.
